Auragel is a water-based earmold sealant / lubricant which allows the hearing aid user to more easily insert the instrument into the ear canal.

Applied Hearing Ltd has been making and distributing this safe, light pink gel for over 20 years.  It contains bacteriostatic agents, and will not harm the ear or hearing aid.

Currently Auragel is available from distributors in Australasia, the United Kingdom, Japan and the United States or directly from us here in New Zealand.

Available in 20 gram tube – with an improved, slightly thicker formula for an even better seal.

And a NEW 6 gram tube – the perfect size for a new hearing aid user to take home.

Every tube comes with simple instructions in 8 languages – English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Mandarin and Bahasa.

The amazing lubricating features of auragel allow the aid to be easily inserted past the very features of the ear which then retain it.  Easier insertion means the learning time for new aid users is dramatically reduced, and a more comfortable fit reduces the probability of hearing instrument rejection.

People with soft cartilage, soft aid molds, tortuous or unusual-shaped ear canals who use auragel will immediately find their aid more comfortable to wear.

Audiologists also find auragel useful when taking impressions of such difficult-to-fit or sensitive canals.  Even those canal tips in open and deep canal fittings can be eased with auragel.

Not only is the aid easier to insert and more comfortable to wear, but auragel also provides a flexible layer between the earpiece and the ear which increases the amount of acoustic isolation.  This means fewer feedback problems, even when chewing, and increased useable gain.

The auragel 20g tube will last a hearing aid user six to 12 months, and the 6g introductory tube for two to six months.  Auragel is available in single tubes, or as 10-pack of 20g tubes in an attractive display carton.
